  • Need suggestions for my ZMA

    Hi My fellow XBHPians.

I have been a biker for the last 9 years. Today i am a proud owner of a Yellow ZMA. I had to wait for almsot 2 long years to save my hard earned money to finally buy this dream machine on Indian Roads. But i am not so happy currently with the bike's performance. Its odometer reading is 2345 kms and the first service was done sharp at 756 kms. And i havent taken my bike beyond 65 KMPL untill the first service was done. May be because i got a mileage of almost 42 KMPL.

I went for 2 long rides, one for 447 kms and another one for 375 kms.

While coming back my bike rode over a couple of pot holes and my front wheel suspension is not so well anymore.
My engine is not smooth anymore though the punch is still there.
I have ridden the bike at an avg speed of 85 kmph, is that too much for a ZMA to sustain.

I pledge to all of you to please give me a suggestion what might have gone wrong in my bike. I would be taking it for service over the weekend. So please give me suggestions since we dont have professionals in BBSR when it comes to bike service.

So friends pls advise and help me out. How to get back my bike's smoothness.

Karizma can susutain above 100 kmph speeds for the whole day. Do not worry. Regarding the handling, check for any front alloy bend. If so rectify it. If the bike feels handling problems in broken roads, change the cone set (ball races kit, 220 bucks). Everything will be fine.

Regarding the smoothness of the bike, may be the petrol you have filled is not good. Fill petrol at a trusted petrol bunk all the time.

Do not worry, explain the problem to the service guys. They will take care of them. Still if you are not satisfied, give the exact problem you are facing regarding the handling, after ther service is over. Good luck.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!
