Re: CDI ignitor for my Kawasaki Eliminator
A racing CDI would produce a hot spark for sure and might increase the revs. Not sure about damages though. I don't think it would make any difference on scooters and bikes sold here. psr sir, please help.Originally posted by arunlildude View PostGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: CDI ignitor for my Kawasaki Eliminator
If it is done by someone not having enough knowledge...Yes it will surely cause problem in the short run itself.....Many are doing trading of buying from abroad and re-selling. Unless the supplier gives guarantee that it will not cause problems and promises to replace parts for FREE ,if something otherwise happens,...don't go for it..Originally posted by arunlildude View PostThanks Divya, will sure do that... but will a racing CDI pose any long term threats to my bike ???
Better not to touch these kind of Traded items. The Internet is full of such items, and we do not know of either their claim on spec, or the quality of these items. The manufacturer of an engine knows what is best . So unless someone is prepared to sacrifice their engine for learning purpose, ... it is simply not worth it.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

psr thank you sir for your reply.
I was able to track down the supplier from this kerala person's facebook page. it was NMW Racing, and i got in touch with the owner Nisar, he's asked me for three things, my bike's wiring harness, my old CDI and the resistence number mentioned in my pickup coil. and he says he'll make me a new cdi in 2 weeks. Should i go for it ?

The eliminator we had here was India specific. the 175 engine wasn't used in anything else as far as i know. the Avenger is an eliminator with a pulsar engine. so parts are not interchangeable. decades ago i had to let my eliminator go because i couldnt find the cdi. your best bet would be to find a big SVC thats old as well, they may have it.HYPERTHRUST CLEARED AND COUNTING
