Re: Hey everyone

Topic Approved & moved to Help Section.

Hi Bhagath, Have you posted an Intro in the Introduction- "Who are you" Section? Who Are You?

You have the potential of getting 50-55 kmpl based on your riding style. A lot depends on the running in of the bike too though.
If 50-55 kmpl is not enough, you might seriously consider downgrading to Honda Shine.

But before we proceed with anything, let me know your present mileage...

Right now I'm getting 30-35.
This is my first bike and it suits my personality.
I drive at speed of 50-60 in city and in highway 80.

Was the running in done properly. . ? Also did you check AFR mixture. . ? If it's on the richer side, you might experience this. . . 30-35kpl is terribly low for this bike. . .

Cheers!!!

May be the place you live is the culprit , Bangalore Traffic . . .

Anyways jokes apart, how is it possible for it to give such low mileage. . ? What is the interval of your oil change. . ? Tell me how do you shift your gears and at what rpm. . ?

Also, as your bike has done some miles, why don't you try out something like this, https://www.facebook.com/Phd60. . . Many have tried it and they are having a good opinion from them, may be you should try it out once. . . Am also want to take my unicorn for this but not finding time to ride to Bangalore. . . Hope your problem is solved, good luck. . .

Cheers!!!

Re: Hey everyone. CBZ Xtreme Mileage problem.

Hope you have been changing air filter and spark plug periodically. Atleast they're changed in last 10k kms. Also, air filter is cleaned periodically.
Are you using oil of higher grade than the recommended 10W30?

Hey Rakesh,
My RPM in city will be 3.5-4.
As you all know bangalore traffic is really hectic and it's very rare to throttle more than 5RPM.
SatSon: I have not changed any spares and service will be done once in 3000kms.
Filter and spark plug will be checked on service.
I use shell advance engine oil and BOSCH spark plug.

Looks like you just leave the bike in service center/ with mechanic and you pick the bike once they tell you that it is serviced.
Please check your owner's manual. Spark plug and airfilter need to be changed in specific intervals as mentioned there.
Also, check your oil grade(it will be written on the oil bottle). Xtreme should run only on 10W30 oil and higher grade (thicker) like 20W40 will result in slightly drop in mileage and power.
Since you've run your bike in B'lore traffic, the clutch would've worn out. Please check with mechanic on that too.

Re: Hey everyone. CBZ Xtreme Mileage problem.

Hey Dude.
I had cbz xtreme till 3 months back which was a 2010 model. I used to get a mileage of 50 to 55 kmpl in city. I think u had to try different riding styles to get optimum mileage. Try to shift to higher gear as soon as possible and dont rash drive. Accelerate and brake gently. Get serviced in 2500 to 3000 kms regularly. Important check ur tyre pressure regularly which can make a big difference.

Happy Riding
Regards,

Re: Hey everyone. CBZ Xtreme Mileage problem.

Hey.
My bike successfully done with 1000kms, I had a problem with choke.
It was jammed and now I am getting 40-45kmpl average in city and 48 in highway.
Thank you friends for your suggestions so that I can take care of my bike even better.
