    White Smoke From My Scoot..!

    My 3 Year Old Scoot Is Giving Out White Smoke Along With Knocking Sound And Is Consuming Lots Of Engine Oil..
    I Think The Piston Rings Are Damaged

    How Much Would It Cost To Fix This ?

      White smoke shows that engine oil is entering into the combustion chamber. You yourself mentioned that.
      The piston rings have to be replaced.
      No idea about the cost though.

          White smoke generally has only 2 reasons, bad valve oil seals, bad rings, or both. Changing both should cost 3-4k. Get it done at any svc.

            And yeah white smoke could be just valve related or bore related. A new valve kit should probably cost around 500rs.
            4k is a reasonable charge considering its a ASC.. make sure it covers a new bore kit replacement (not just new pistons&rings, which only cost around 500rs.)
            Try to be there while the job is carried out, or at least collect the old bore from them (make some identification mark on the old bore before giving it for replacement )
