  • R15 Fork Issue

Hi all, I've done 25,500 kms on my R15 v2.0. Haven't changed the fork oil so far. The forks never leaked oil. Recently I had to change the Razor set of the fork (cone set they say). Before getting it replaced, the handle bar would get tighter all of a sudden while driving and when ever i hit a bump or a pot hole i get that awkward 'khat khat' kind of sound. Razor kit changed problem fixed for a while.

Now that the handle bar is alright, but i do get the 'khat khat' sound when i go on rough roads & I also feel the damping of the forks are not as tall as they were when I bought the bike. I had a mechanic inspect the bike, after a bumpy ride he said everything is fine with the fork, but he said the noise might be from the fork spring. He said that it would not cause any harm to the forks. Do i need to change the fork oil ? I'm afraid because one of my friend changed fork oil of FZ @yamaha svc and then on he's having a broken fork seal no matter how many times he change it, the seal breaks and oil leaks.

So 1) Can I change the fork oil ?
    2) Do I need to inspect the Razor kit again ? (Khat Khat sound issue)

For Chennai guys, Can you suggest some good mechanic for R15 around chennai ? Because Yamaha SVC has never solved any of my issues before.
