    hello guys.
this is gyan mohan singh from banglore.
this comes as my first post on xbhp although i have been following this place and getting enlightened from a long time.
earlier I had a pulsar 150 UG 4 but after i moved to banglore I left it back and got a second hand pulsar 180 ug4.
and got the following modifications done on it.
    1. Got handle bar from fz-16 for the sake of better handling on corners and doing stoppies.
    2. removed the headlight dome and got a projector installed, again to reduce the weight and hanling purpose.
3.got r15 v 1.0 tyres and rim as it lowered the centre of gravity and enhanced handling ,it also minutely increased the pickup in 2nd gear.
    4. HP airfilter(as they were pretty cheap compared to k&N).
initially the bike was running fine with good pickup but the top speed was slightly less(around 108 kmph) (i dont have any speedometer in my bike so cant be sure.

lately I started facing some serious issues
    1. for every one revolution of rear wheel there comes a (ghach-ghach) kind of noise from the sprocket.
    2.pickup started decresing gradually.
    3.bike started vibrating
4.a peculiar problem-in the night time bike felt like it is chokin, like it has no fuel in it.even on full throttle sometimes the speed wont go above 40-50.
5.today it was happening in the day time also but it was less significant.
    6.pickup drastically reduced today.
5.rear brake making a lot of noise.
i got my bike serviced 15 days ago...4-5 days it ran good but all the same problems again.
after getting these rectified I plan on the following mods
    1. aftermarket ffe(plan on getting the normal ones you get on JC road, without any DB killer.cant afford joel right now)
will it help ??? to what extent??
    2. nmw performance parts size 30 carburetors(suggestions on if it is really useful.
    3. petal front disc
3.good quality disc pads(where can I get one)(stoppies you know)
i would like more enlightment on the following
    1. porting & polishing
    2.valve spring
    3. sports clutch spring(wheelies)

    please gurus,help me out.

    Approved!

    1. Are you a stunter?

    2. Bikes that look like: are NOT road legal in India. My friends have been fined for the same in Bangalore.

    3. Symptoms you mentioned above are because the aftermarket filter slowly screwed the engine, and bad riding harmed sprockets and clutch plates.

    4. Avoid Joel as well as JC Road. Get a bigger stock bike if you want more power.

    5. Don't perform stoppies/wheelies on public roads.

    6. Petal front discs won't provide noticeable improvement to justify their price.

    7. Rest all stuff (sports clutch spring, valve springs etc) are just all-show-and-n-go for our desi mopeds. Why spend a bomb and not even gain 10% in the performance area?

Let the other members have their say too.

3months are more than enough to screw the engine, aftermarket parts or performance parts are strict no-no, remember man this is India not US where you are gonna get reliable after market parts , vibration can be of crank assembly, your bike's piston might have got screwed up and hence the reciprocating parts are giving this shiver.

Just open the cylinder of the bike and see the state of the crankshaft, does the bike keeps vibrating even after crossing 60km/hr speed or lessens out.
