Are you still on the lookout?
I can tell you this....if you get a good RXZ-5 speed, that bike is a keeper!!!
Its an awesome bike. Zero maintainance, only think to keep a check is the oil level, since its a two stroke.
Before buying one check for any clutch slipping and crankshaft noise.

go for newer model year and also consider which bike is best in over all body line, like cycle frame, handle T rod, swing arm.choose bike with clean papers and documents.
I recently bought 5 Speed 2000 Model for 20k in bangalore, spent 3k now its running smooth and fine.

          Dear Guys,

I'm still on look-out for RXZ 5-speed, Please help me to get it if anyone from Hyderabad can help me... I want to gift it to my younger brother, he is a 2-storke lover (shaolin/shogan/rx 100) & wishes to have a RXZ someday, so I'm hunting it here in X-bhp.

I await assistance from Hyd X-bhpians.

          Thanks

                Thunderbird M6,

In Bangalore, RXZ 5 speeds are going for crazy prices. 50K for a stock model in ship shape isn't too uncommon. Yes, I'm bamboozled by these prices. Why not a 135 5 Speed? Cheaper and easy availability of parts, especially the body parts. A good friend of mine had to buy a old fairing and get it repainted when he crashed his 5 speed RX-Z. I don't know what the scene is in other cities, but here in Bangalore, the RXZ is becoming or already has become a classic.

RXZ 5s are hard to come by thesedays.. you'll get good 4s for around 20k everywhere though.. cosmetic parts are very hard to find.. better go for an RX135 5s

                    Dear Jay Prashanth,

I told this same thing to my bro for whom I'm looking this RXZ, this is gonna be his 1st bike as he is only 17. He is already a calm rider but now he wants to grow-up as a biker, I was also crazy for RXZ in my college days, but that time I was not allowed to even touch my father's scooter.
So, I knows how its feels to get a bike at younger stage where is brother is at present.

Even I was looking for a RXZ 5 Speed to gift it to my younger Brother he is a 2-Stroke Psyche. My search in bangalore went on for almost an Year+, most of RXZ's 2000 to 2003 model in average condition were costing 50k and above. At last couple of weeks back ended up purchasing a stock RX135 5 speed 2000 model for 20k, spent 3k and bike is running smooth now.

                        Thunderbird M6,

Nice to see an enthusiast bigger bro. Meanwhile, the 5S Zeds are great no doubt but the prices being quoted are crazy.,,.,if you really want the Z, do one thing, buy a 135 5S and then get the Z body kit. IMHO, the Z looks smashing with a round headlamp and a wide rally handle. So, you'll effectively need the tank and decals which you can source at the Shivajinagar gujdi in the worst case scenario. So, that would give you a 5S Z at about 35 k including the restoration, both cosmetic and mechanical.

Jay how about the Chassis, do we need to alter the chassis to install the RXZ'z body kit for an RX135 ?

Simplest way out is to get a shot RXZ 4 speed - get a 5speed BORE piston KIT ASAP...and the 5speed gbox.

Get the head modified to improve performance, 5 speed chain sprocket set and you have a near identical 5 speed Z.

I have done the same with my RXZ 4sp - its converted to a 5 speed now ...

You will save a lot of money. Lots..
