  • Need help with changin the colour of the bike

    Hi Guys,

This is my first post. I own a karizma R Sports(2004 model) and its colour is greenish blue. Just like this one http://www.thetopbikes.com/Images/H/...-Karizma-1.jpg (however this one is not mine). Recently I met with an accident and its fairing is toatally damamged. Need to change the plastics including tail and visor.

Now the problem is that this colour is very rare and hard to find spare of this colour. So i decieded to change the colour of my bike to black.

My query is: is it leagal to change the colour of bike from that in the RC?
What are the legal procedures to change it? Please help.

    Thanks,
    Fibin

    Query Approved.

As long as the chassis number and bike make any type are not tampered with, color is not at all a problem when it comes to RC book imprint. Also, I'd suggest you to look for the same color, blue, as you've posted in the link. The color isn't hard per se, it is easily available, it's just a matter or search and rescue. Get in touch with any reputed auto paint shop in your area and they'd be happy to help you.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Thanks for approving this thread and also for your suggestion. I've searched each and every corner of the city but i cannot find spare with this colour .... Now I'm thinking about buying the spare of any colour and repainiting it to greenish blue!!! But some of my friends recomending colour change to matt black(with some sticker work)... It would be really helpful if someone could help me with the process of updating the colour of the bike in RC..

From what i have read and understood about this thing, the process is quite simple. There would be a small processing fee and a form to fill up and the same would be mentioned on the RC book.

        Ride safe and have fun.

Just paint the bike go to the rto, you'll need to fill a form and pay a fine. Or alternatively you can fill a different form to apply for permission to make modifications and wait and wait and wait for the permission, I have done the first option, you will need to take your bike for inspection.
