    Guys, I'm Pradeep & from Bengaluru.
    I own a KB100(89 Model, Japan Engine) from past 1 year. Previously it was used in a Bank & maintenance was pathetic. Since i had it in my native place(Chikkamagaluru) usage was very minimal in the last one year (below 2000KM). Recently i bought it here & given it for complete rebuilding. Have just bought some parts in JC road shops. Till now my experience is - though it's bit difficult to find parts of it. If you thoroughly check in each shop, you'll end up finding it .

    Spares which i bought are :
    Pricol Speedometer - 1.7K
    Saree Guard - 270
    Handle Bar - 150 aprx.
    Seat(Plate, foam & cover) - 700
    Yezdi Doom - 320 aprx.

    Should be ready by 1st or 2nd week of Jan(max.).
    Regarding change of Tyres i need suggestion - though i can get stock tyeres(rear), im interested in Yezdi rear ones, but not sure will it fit well & look good - the way it suits RX.

    I just thought it's a right forum to discuss with other KB Owners cum lovers .

      most Yezdi models came with 3.25" x 16" tyres whereas the KB100 has 2.75 x 18 (front) and 3.00 x 18 (rear) tyres.

      the kb100 was one of the tallest bikes in its time. inspite of that, it was one of the best handlers in its class.

      when you talk about fitting yezdi tyres on to the KB, you are shaving off two inches which in my opinion could adversely affect the handling and the ride quality of the bike.

      in addition, you are looking at new rims and spokes which would cost you an extra 1.5K in the least.

      my sincere advice - keep it stock and enjoy the ride.

        +1 to that , you will screw up the handling , reduce the top speed and mileage , and also ruin the looks , a lot of guys here have tried it and failed

          Thanks Rookieraj & KB 100 - for suggestion at the right time . Coz i'm planning to buy the tyres tomorrow with other stuffs(cables, wiring set, indicators, Rims - as old rims are almost gone & mechanic also suggested me).
          After reading various articles about KB & RX - i was convinced with one thing. KB was ahead of RX interms of handling, hence even i wasnt confident about changing into Yezdi Tyres.

              I'm from chennai. I own a 1990 KB100 and I just love it. To me that bike was the best, the sound and acceleration was unbeatable.
              But of the late, the bike is not in running condition as i'm unable to find the spare parts for it.
              It needs a new tank, 2t Oil pump, rear and front drums,hubs and a Headlight.
              The headlight is commonly available but the other parts are difficult to find.

              Any suggestions?

              I never knew there were this many KB100 enthusiasts!!!

                Hi Dude,
                You might not get exact parts, hence i would suggest go for the ones which will act as substitute. Eg- you can hav yezdi headlight for KB. I've got the same & it looks good. So where ever u dont get the exact ones you can do like this. Additionally in your city if you could enquire in multiple shops(which are very old & well known) you might get or you might ask them to check by paying advance. Coz like that by paying advance upon their request i got Original Speedometer.

                  After market fuel tank is available. Your local spare parts shop may be able to order one for you. I purchased one for my bike last year for 1800/-. 2T oil pump may be difficult to get but then you can always run on pre-mix. The rear wheel hub is the same as the Pulsar 150 (old model) and the front wheel hub is the same as the Caliber. Headlights from Lumax are available albeit with a H4 holder and no parking light.

                    guys...there is a auto parts dealer in Agra (my home town), he has around 4-5 2T oil pump for the KB100, I bought one as spare for my KB...paid 600 bucks...let me know if anyone is interested...I will pick all of them, the dealer said that he has some other OE stuff like -

                    1. KB100's fuel tank (5 nos)
                    2. Rotor disc valve (3-4)
                    3. Engine covers (both sides)
                    4. New Silencer (but rusted)
                    5. Pricol meter housing

                        Guys i'm facing trouble with RPM meter. Mechanic says i have to open the engine in order to get it working!

                          first check whether the rpm gauge is ok, while idling the engine unscrew the rpm cable and check if the inner cable is rotating or not , if it is then your rpm gauge is kaput , if the inner is not rotating then , try tugging the inner cable gently , if it is broken it will come off easily, if it is not coming off, then you will have to check if the cable is seized up near the engine , for that you will need a star/phillips screwdriver , using that you will have to unscrew the screw locking the other end of the cable to the crankcase , then gently remove the other end from the crankcase and perform the earlier check of tugging the cable , to see if it is broken
