  • Idling RPM for a CL500

I tried looking for this issue in few forums, but couldn't find it. So I am posting my issue here. Please help me with it. Here it goes...

I am having high Idling RPM on my CL500 and have no freaking idea how to reduce it. Looks like all the parts will vibrate and fall off from the bike. I have adjusted the Idling RPM of my P220 using the turn screw under the throttle fly.

Since, this is a FI, I am not sure how to do. Seeking help from fellow gear-heads.

Mod, Please excuse me if I have posted the question again,

    Query Approved.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Take it to the SVC and tell them to adjust .
They will connect it to a tool to set your rpm (as in general case of Fi bikes).
Some bikes do have a screw to over run the idling but its better dealt with the special tool .

Can you tell me where in this case of a FI engine, I can find the adjustment screw...I was searching all over the area...not to mention, the SVC in our area has been shifted..need to find the nearest one ...

          I don't know its location .
Try posting in ownership thread bro .
Even in CBR owners refrain from fiddling with that screw .
Since its a electronic controlled thing its better to deal with an electronic device .
Its better to take it to a SVC .

Am also scouting for the screws location will update if I find it

          EDIT :

          hope this helps you

Took it to a local mechanic who is an expert in Bullet and Java motorcycles. The funny thing was, It wasn't the brass screw inside the well causing the high RPM during idle...It was a rubber tube that connects the tank to the throttle body , the tube was torn and caused an issue. I don't know what that tube is for...but he just placed his finger blocking the exit, the idle was normal..when he removed it, it started to rattle again.

I ll post the pic sometime later.
