  • My zeus and its seat and my butt and crotch.

I hope the mods dont banish me for some of the words pertaining to anatomy of the homosapien. But folks(mods) this is a serious issue.

I ride a '06 Suzuki Zeus. My height is 6'2"(please dont ask me why did I buy the zeus then??? this question wont solve my problem)

When ever I ride my zeus for more than half an hour, my butt starts aching and may be due to design of the seat, I fell as if I am sliding down and my pants near the crotch gets tighten. I hope you guys can understand what I am saying.

Note: for the sake of originality, I didnt put the seat cover offered by the suzuki folks as an accessory. I am not sure whether that is causing the pain in the ar$e.

Here are some pics of my zeus(pics - courtesy sagar alias furioussphynx alias votlme):

I need some suggestions which I can try to overcome my problems.

Any doctors here who can tell about the long term implications of such an abuse???

I have couple of vague ideas:

    1. Put in some foam in a custom made seat cover so that the seat becomes flat and I can slide a bit backwards to free up my crotch.

    2. Change the stock handle to that of a classic pulsar, move the foot pegs a bit behind such that my legs come with in the leg recesses and my body falls a bit forward there by easing some pressure off my butt and that pushes my crotch backward rather than sliding forward.

What would be pros and cons of both the above mentioned ideas?

    Please help me.

Very interesting title, but a bizzare situation. I'd say, save the money on all of those modifications, sell the bike and buy a large 150 OR any othe 125cc that is more comfortable.

As for the mods you have mentioned, maybe getting rear sets and a lower handlebar will help, but then you would hamper the pillion's feet area. eg. with rear sets, the pillion feet will end up touching the rider's feet every now and then.

@All: Any other ideas fellow xBhpians?..Do reply......

          @46,
first option a costly affair(zeus has a very poor resale value).

second option, I dont mind losing a bit on the pillion space as I alone use the bike. Though things may not be this way for long, but will the rear sets will make that much difference??? is that because of the smaller size of the 125cc bikes in general. I am thinking about the CBF 125 rear sets, will they can be fit to zeus.

Can anyone comment on the rear sets of CBF125 to the zeus. Venu/Joel??? anyone else???

@natthu, interesting pointer there, may be i can try a similar seat mod job. BTW, is that mod reversible i.e. If I dont like this mod job will I be able to get back to the original.

I cant make out much from the pics. Can you post the orginal seat pics as well and some bigger pics.

A lasting solution to your rather amusing problem is to buy a motorcycle that suits you.

                        1) Make the sear flat by adding some cushion or chopping off some at the rear. adding cushion makes the seat higher and you'll have to bend more for the handlebar!
                        2) get a higher handlebar installed (not a lower one.. u r already tall and u will have to bend for a lower handlebar)
                        3) forget rearsets. not worth the cost & pain

would you like to try the Sardarji who modded the R15 to a disco jling bling?

a modded R15 indeed. I posted those photos in R15 ownership thread some two months back. I recommend not to search for those photos unless you are in a doomed mood and want to feel better!
