  • Suggestion for modding my TBTS

    Hi All,

I am a n00b here, so Moderators please move to correct forum! :P

I own RE TBTS 2011 (UCE model). Since very early stages her front forks started bleeding, changing fork seal was routine in servicing. Later we used engine oil instead of fork oil. The problem is now significantly reduced.

Now I want to add some mods. I want to keep her as standard as possible, rather I want to do things which I can do!!
Apart from getting my clutch replaced I don't intend to do any engine work (and if I could get to rejet my Carb then, will consider replacing stock air-filter).

I am searching for replacement forks and was wondering, would KTM duke's forks fit in? While googling I came across Rajputana Customs who managed to do exactly the same on their bikes (I do not intend to copy any of their design). So is it possible to fit KTM duke's triple trees in my RE chassis? if yes then what more things I will have to consider (like changing front wheel, surely disk breaks won't fit, what more).

Since a year I have moved from Mumbai to Bangalore, more than anything I miss my mechanic. Please do suggest me good mechanic whom I could ask more questions. I have been to few of the mechanics in Shivajinagar, despite of being costly one the garage is good but the guy doesn't like to answer.

    TIA

    Query Approved

Wouldn't the Duke's USD forks be too stiff for the RE Chassis?
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Thanx, I didn't think of this. Luckily I tried riding DUKE this weekend and I am now inclined to keep stock TBTS suspensions with perhaps some refurbishing.

Hi bro. I would suggest you pay a visit to Mr.Gurunandan (Nandanmotors : Bullet Serial) There is also one other famous mechanic called Srinivasan. Will try to get his contacts.
        Take care and safe riding.
