Shogun brake prob
I have a 94 model 'gun.. the guy i bought it from had installed monoshocks and some thing seemed to touch the brakes.. I've installed the stock shocks and have even changed the chasis and brake drum but still the same problem persists. The rear brakes get hotter then the silencer and whenever there's a pillion and i go over a road hump the brakes get caught and it releases after i get down off the hump..Any suggestions or mechanics that u know of? I stay in Bangalore.Tags: None

Seems like your shocks are botteming out when ride with pillion stiffen your monoshock to hard setting and check whether your swing arm bushes are in good shape."Engine tuning is not an exact science, but with some practice and patience you'll get comfortable with your skill and be able tune for any conditions mother nature throws at you"

He has fitted back the stock shocks and modified the chassis accordingly, check the swigarm bushes once..Originally posted by psycho 98 View PostSeems like your shocks are botteming out when ride with pillion stiffen your monoshock to hard setting and check whether your swing arm bushes are in good shape.
Where do you get the bike serviced?

as you said, the guy had installed monoshock, so to accomodate the thicker swingarm, he mustve cut the small triangular metal plate where the brake rod is attached. this results in shortening of the leverage n as the swing arm moves up, the brake rod pulls the brake cam and the brakes are applied without pressing the pedal. as the guy above said, take it to ZEN motors and do let us know the exact problem once its rectified.Last edited by yamdoot; 02-24-2009, 08:03 PM.1985 Yamaha RD350 HT
