  • Alloy and tubeless tyres for Bullet Electra 5S 2009 Model

Hi Guys, I am planning to do some mods to my 5 year old electra and planning to change stock 19 inch tyre setup with an 18 inch rear and 19 inch front with broader tyres like available on new classic series, and make an alloy and tubeless tyre setup.
Need advice from ppl who have done this mod, is it adviseble to do this, how does alloys fair in terms of touring and how does change in tyre setup effects bike handling

Current setup Front & rear : spoke wheels with 3.5*19 front and back

    planned: front: 19 inch 90/90
    rear: 18 inch 120/80

    tubeless tyres with alloys

look forward to some valuble inputs from experienced bikers on the forum, thanks in advance

Don't know much about changing tyre size but in 19 inch you can go with rado alloys.
      Brand best for bullets .
There would be slight reduction in mileage as these alloys are pretty heavy.

        Thanks maninderz for yor input
But main question still remains a 19 inch at front and 18 at rear how does it impact the bike handling

Help to choose alloy wheel for 2 months old Thinderbird 500cc Lightning - in Bangalore

          Hi Friends,
I have recently upgraded from Karizma ZMR to RE TB500. Now I would like to upgrade the spoke wheel to alloy wheels to overcome of puncture. In this regard, I need opinion from expert and also a reliable brand.
1: Will the aftermarket alloy wheels good enough to be as reliable as existing spoke wheel in term weight handling and should not bend when it encounters a small pit.
          2: Any suitable brand?
3: In Bangalore, I have enquired with Sandhya Motors and they have some stock which is Harley type and they quoted 8K and buy back for my existing spoke wheel around 1500.
4: Will existing tyres will be direct fit.
5:Any bad affect on both disc brake assemblies.
6: Any good brand which I should rely on.
7: My budget will be around 8K.

In our forum, some one has done modification.

          Thanks,
          Alok
