Sorry for this sudden outburst but feel bad when someone mistreats a bike.

@kar(its)ma!:Take your bike to the showroom and ask for an estimate of repairs/probable faults in the bike. Take this estimate and the fault list to the same place and give a piece of your mind to that a$$h*&*# manager. Show him that the oil is dirty and ask him to open the brake pads there and then. Take along some mechanic friend of yours who can contradict their "GOLI".
Niranjan, you are so right, thats the same thing am gonna do this weekend. Unfortunately, my mechanic has left for his native town permanently(He was in the HH Showroom, so that made me more comfortable and reliable). That is the only reason for all this chaos.

I agree with you for the fact that these fellows care a shit about our bikes. I have seen myself, they using the bikes, that are to be serviced, for their personal purposes and handling it madly.!

I always use Idemitsu oil, but I happened to come across a friend of mine(who also owns a ZMA), who said that this oil was good. But its SHIT!

One more thing that I would like to know is that, is there a mechanic n Chennai (apart from HH authorized showrooms), who has a good knowledge about servicing latest bikes. Its been only 2 years since am in Chennai, so in a dilemma, whom to trust(especially after this) and now that my mechanic has left Chennai, am desperately looking out for some advice from my mates.....

      Raccoon,

A CBZ is closer to my house than other Castrol authorised retailers.
Meanwhile, I'm planning to try the Veedol superswift on my LB500 maybe this weekend. I'm hearing good things about the semisynth from Veedol.

1400 is too much.. for pulsar 150 n 180 idle is 1100 RPM standard.

Wherever you give your bike for servicing, its always best to stay and watch them work on your bike... Maybe you are hard pressed for time n all but I suggest you put one day off for this.. coz if they screw up your bike, finally you're the one who suffers ..

The Castrol Bike Zone near my house actually did my bike a world of good (I ride a passion plus, as of now my only bike).. The reason I took it there was because my HH showroom services were going from bad to worse... chain problems, fork etc.. they didnt bother..!!! But this time I stayed with my bike at the CBZ and watched them, they appeared to be quite knowledgeable and were very good when it came to interacting with the customer. And my bike is going great guns now..
