Hi,
I have been looking forward to starting a thread about this too.
this is what i have found this far..

The link below

Buddh International Circuit|BIC|Indian Grand Prix|Indian GP Tickets|F1 India|Indian F1 Motor Sport|Formula 1|Jaypee Sports[email protected], [email protected]

I have been itching to do this for some time now,
two major points holding me back are

1) i dont have a leather suit, all i have is textile/mesh jacket and pants ( which i have heard is a big no no, and they wont let anyone to get on track until they have leather one on). so leather suit is next on the buying list.

2) i cant seem to find the other 4 people for minimum booking. hell i cant even seem to find just 1 so let alone finding 4.

But let me take this opportunity to ask you and other members here if they will be interested.

faster : i hope you wont mind me barging your thread but can we have all discussions related to track days at Bic here.

as for the fellow members who have been to BIC, please throw some light.

No Bro I won't mind at all, Thanks a lot for the information, yes it would be good if this thread becomes sticky and we can share latest info on this .
Any leather jacket will do ? or you are talking about that one piece leather racing suit ?
Once it becomes more clear what gear is required and any other formalities, we can plan on it. Consider me the 2nd out of the minimum 5 . I so want to do it too.

Re: Buddha International Circuit Track Day Query

2 is great start, lets hope the others will join in soon,

as for the leather, i am really confused on that issue. i have read on mutiple forums that leather suit, single piece or 2 piece with both jacket and pants being of leather( with ce certified armour) are a mandate, along riding boots, gloves and all. and i read on our xbhp pages itself that in the xbhp g2g held in march , only rider with proper leather riding gear were allowed to hit the track.

but what confuses me is that when the orange day by ktm was organized i saw some videos of riders in mesh jackets, jeans and knee gaurds doing rounds of the track, i could be mistaken, will try to find the video again.

i understand that leather is better than mesh when it comes to track riding, so wont argue.

I was there in orange day and they allowed us with mesh jackets and pants . for shoes they asked for ankle length shoes and gloves.

The point to notice is that they had a restricted circuit with chicane. We didn't get all the turns.

You need a pair of riding boots
Riding Pants with in built guards not just Knee Pads over Denims
(Although the KTM Track day saw people riding with Knee Guards as well)
A textile/leather/Mesh Jacket with armoured protection and with a back protector
Gloves
And a good full face helmet

Informative thread. Wish I stayed in Delhi for becoming #3.

KTM Day being a corporate event they might have made an excuse for the leathers. When I visited for the xBhp track day last yr, it was strict leathers.

I have a query about that 6000INR.
That would be person person I guess, right?

The MMSC is cutting us a lot of slack in terms of price, international tracks are pricy.

Just to make it clear, they wont allow you until and unless you have full leather suit.
The KTM thingy was different because KTM would've been responsible for whatever happened.

Yes @Tanmay26, that is person to person for a 1hr session. It's actually 50 min track time + 10 min briefing and preparations.

mehuel count me in next time you plan for a track day, but only after February. I've got everything required. If you want to rent a suit Redline Racing provides them for 3000Rs, but you should still have your own boots, gloves and helmet.

Although I have never ridden at MMSC so I can't do a comparison. But since BIC is an international track it certainly has everything top notch. Garage, briefing room, cameras, timing devices, security, and not to miss the track - long sweeping turns on wide roads

Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

thats one more to the list
thanks for the rent info, its very unlikely that i'll be able to save enough for the suit soon, so renting one might be the only option.
I am plannig to get the dsg ripper, any reviews? or any other in this price range?
