  • jerking problem for Honda CB Unicorn

    hi to all
i am new to xbhp i am raiding great model of Honda unicorn 2009 model, since i have heard more abt unicorn and seen lought ,i love the song from this engine also likes tail light which looks like bat from my point of view.did general service few days before , now a days i am facing jerking problem from the gear box it can felt and seen at 1st gear heavily, but not in neutral and less in 2nd more less in others .head does`nt make any problem or noise just observed from with 10 to 20 k ran new engine,i tried adjusting clutch no use coz i can able change gear with out applying clutch.one of the mech told it could be coz of clutch bell and shaft of bell and it can be rectified by changing the bell and doing some lathe work.i am not convinced with his answer coz jerking happens only some times like 7\10 while stoping at signel when i achieve neutral easly jerking is not happening.some body help me........... to solve this problem

    Help Me topic Approved.

Maybe you should introduce yourself in the Introductions Section? Anyways, your choice if you want to get straight down to the topic.

So, you think it happened after a service? Is the engine oil sufficient as per manufacturer's recommendation?

      thanks for replaying Samarath
i am new to XBHP i couldnt figure the introduce section. oil is up to level after raiding 400 km and left the bike for service only for this jerking issue. jerking happens 7 out of 10 while raiding and stopping at the signal not always use to maintain 3k to 4k rpm while shifting the gear i dont raid not exeeding 50kms

I really don't think you meant RAIDING but that typo is hilarious. LOL:P

As for your problem it seems your clutch cable adjustment may be off and if that isn't the issue then perhaps the clutch springs are gone. Check the clutch lever freeplay and stiffness. If its too stiff or has too much play then it may be time to replace it.
