Help!!! price for gearbox change in Discover 125cc 2005 model...

    Help!!! price for gearbox change in Discover 125cc 2005 model...

    Hi,

    My discover 125cc 2005 model and hits only 20000 kms...

    It makes sound while changing gears 1st, 2nd & 3rd. but 4th gear changes smoothly without any noise..

    And also the bike drags a lot like hell while in 2nd gear ... i.e., it shifted from 3rd gear to 2nd gear...

    is it wise to change the gearbox & how much it costs...

      When is the last time you changed engine oil ?
      Also check if the chain slack is proper, if not; adjust and lube the chain.
      BTW your bike is 9 years old, do replace clutch cable and accelerator cable.
      I do not think your bike needs a clutch plate replacement as it has only ran 20k.

        I changed engine oil before 3 months.. by Bajaj SVC i.e., Bajaj DTSi 10,000 Engine oil...

        Ok i will check the chain fitness.. as well as change the Clutch & accel. cable....

          I have bajaj discover 2006 model and it has covered around 72000 km's till now and i'm the second owner of the bike. When i start the bike and shift to 1st gear from neutral the bike jumps what is the reason of it please explain

            Sticky clutch plates. If its really a Jump as in a unusual jerk, you need to get it checked. A friend of mine had a similar issue and was told the Clutch Bell was not working like it should.

            If its just a tiny jerk which you feel, and the bike isnt considerably moving at the shift then its normal, check with other same era same bike owners if it the same with them.

              Help me in changing my valves, rings, piston and clutch plates of bajaj discover 2006 make. I'm the mechanic of my vehicle, please help me in every steps and give me the tools needed for the work.
