    Air filter AF ratio problem- EFI

    Hi guys.
    I ride a Hyosung GT250R ,the 2014 model with the Delphi ECU.
    So recently,after a bit of research, i bolted two k&n filters onto the intake vents.
    The problem is, i think my engine is running very lean since even short rides heat it up massively. I pulled out the spark plug to examine it and noticed a white glazing on the metal loop at the end of the plug.
    Since it is a closed loop EFI bike with a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, shouldn't it automatically re calibrate the air fuel mixture?
    Is there any feasible method to restore the correct AF ratio while using aftermarket filters?
    Help will be appreciated

      Stock o2 sensors provide meaning full feedback to ecu only within very narrow range. Typically between 1:14.3 to 1:14.9.
      If AFR has fallen out of this range, ecu will ignore o2 sensor out put.
      Most bikes are already tuned to run at 1:14.64 Afr.
      Any free flowing component will easily throw the bike into 1:15+ AFR.

      Get a retuning device or get an aftermarket tune for your bike. Overheating engine and too lean AFR will eat up piston rings fast.

        Would you(or anyone else reading this) know of any tuning kit/ECU specifically for the Hyosung?
        My research has not managed to pull up any result.

            [MENTION=75767]Scarecrow3[/MENTION] yes there are tuning options for the Hyosung.
            1. You can get your existing system tuned to suit your aftermarket mods
            2. You can get a tuning system like a PC. That way when you add/change mods on your bike you can do required changes in the fuelling.

            For both these options you may or may not need the help of a guy who knows what he is doing (tuning) as it needs to be done right. You can PM me for any specific queries you have.
