• Need to chose either of these bikes

Hi guys, I am new here and I need some advice.
Planning on buying a bike next month and I have short listed Gixxer 155 and unicorn 160. I am extremely confused between the two of these bikes.
Personally, I have been riding a glamor 2007 model and figured it was time for an upgrade. The problem with trying to finalize with one of these rides is just that, I enjoy going long distances in bikes. I love it so much, that I am the kind of guy who would put riding comfort in the back seat just to be going the extra distance. I had once ridden 600km's in my old glamor and the kinda cruelty I put my ass through in that journey would make Hitler shed tears, but it was worth it simply because i had gone the distance. The point i am making is that, i need help in choosing a bike and i am willing to make my rear end suffer for the cause. You guys just need to tell me which is these bikes are better suited for hurting my ass less. I have thought of other bikes, and the only other thing that might fit my criteria is the 200ns. Sadly its above my budget. Right now these two bikes seem like really solid bets. but, which one? I had also read a few threads on the forums here and it seems to me that some of these new gixxers have gear box problems or occasional electric start malfunctions, i also heard honda's spare parts cost a whooper. This confuses me further. Please help.

You need to rethink about - I am the kind of guy who would put riding comfort in the back seat just to be going the extra distance.

In my opinion you should go for gixxer. Regarding gear box issue i think its solved after 1k KMS and seen by very few owners. You can also consider fzs v2.0 if you can extend your budget little bit.

Also there is a comparison video between gixxer and unicorn 160 in YouTube done by autocar india. It will clear all your doubts to an extent.

Except looks just get the honda unicorn 160.0-100kmph faster than any 150cc and provided best comfort in the category and mileage.this is long stroke motor.mileage is excellent.

please advise me about bikes whose sitting position is at 90degree, bike should be 180cc or above. where sitting position is not natural, this sitting position will creat health problems in later stage. this may cause various kinds of body pains.

Both Gixxer and Unicorn along with FZ2.0 are very good bikes in terms of comfort and handling. All three have refined motors and comfortable seating(the pillion seat of Gixxer seems a tad high to me). And think again, riding comfort will matter 5 years down the line not that extra mile. Believe me, refinement and quality matters.
Check out the comfort levels extensively because each individual has a unique riding style. I think the pillion comfort in FZ2.0 is better than the other two. FZ2.0 also wins in the FI section but loses on the power front. But, all three of them can do 90-100 kmph all day long without any problem.
Best of luck!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Gixxer - better looks, fatter tyres, very good handler.
Unicorn 160 - more power, smooth and reliable honda engine, very comfortable.
Both the bikes are good, you should TR both and get the one which connects with you, afterall you have to ride and live with it. Anuj_Gupta: no offense but just because you own a 200cc motorcycle, doesnt mean that all lower cc motorcycles are crap. You dont see a duke/rc 390 owner bashing on lower cc motorcycles.
I own a cbr 250r and a RTR 160, but i still love to ride my RTR more than cbr.
Once again no offense

1. I clarified saying no offense
2I said all feels same . I didn't mention the words carp, shit, worse,
3. I gave the Frank assessment.
4. I do have a small fleet of Ns,r15 Nd RC200. But I learned biking on p150 .so no disrespect but once you have the chance (like ns, just a thousands more) over the commuter section ,I will advise to take it. As I said earlier not worth the update from glamour to gixxer when he can change his WORLD by adding a 10k more.
No fights please, we all are brothersonwheels
