  • TBTS Help Required!!!

Hello Friends. I am Gaurav from New Delhi. I own a TBTS and have done only 600 km on it. My Concern is that i am pretty new in Delhi and also to the Bull Community. So any of you mates can help me out in getting the best service station out here in Delhi. any location will do although central Delhi will be preferred. Also there are some concerns with my bike so far:
    1. Some oil is leaking just below the kick of my bike and i guess its engine oil only because whenever i check the engine oil meter, nothing can be seen in it as if the engine is empty.
    2. When Cruising through Delhi traffic, whenever i press the brakes and clutch to slow down, there is this annoying sound like when it comes when a Blue line Bus comes to halt. don't know whether this sound is from the brakes or the clutch.
    3. Whenever the road becomes a little bumpy, there is a sound like some metal hitting metal in the rear.

Although i am falling in love with this Bull day by day in every way. I was shocked to get a mileage of 50 KMPL. Awesome No! Surely i will suggest this one to the guyz like me shifting from ZMA. And people do hurry up. i have to get it serviced by Saturday so.........

Well Congos on the new Thunderbird.. well im not from delhi so i cannot help u in the Sercive centre...
As far your concern about the oil leakage..most Bullets do that... it a common issue with the Bullets...a small about of oil stain is common..
To check the oil just see ur user manual..there is detailed info on how to do that..but u have to check oil when the engine is cool and and kept on the main stand on a plain surface..
Secondly for the noise ur getting on applying the breakes are very normal..dont worry about the noise..even my pulsar does it..
Thirdly the metal noise..is also common in Bullets...i dont know what noise it is..but its common with all Bullets..

        Dude congrats the new TBTS..

        1) Am not from Delhi
        2) Oil leak near kick start means there is a seal that is to be changed. Inform that to the service guy and he will fix that. (My frnd too had the same issue, I forgot the name of the seal). Oil leaks are not common on TBTS.
        3) If the sound comes when U are breaking then you must get the rear break drums checked. I too got it replaced in 1K km itself
        4) The metal hitting the road on bumps is ur center stand, get the rear shock stiffened to its next level.

        Keep Riding, safe.

          Sticky12,

Either your rear brake shoes are worn out or maybe the brake liners have dirt on them. If they are worn out, they will be replaced by RE. If they are dirty, they will be cleaned and refitted by which you should stop hearing the noise.

          Cheers,

          Jay

Sorry guys no offense ment..but Break Shoe wearing out at 1 K or earlier than that..i never heard before... But as far i know break shoe easily come more than 5 K Kms...yeah it depends on how often you use the breaks..but im sure not at 1 K.. And if the oil leakage is serious its not normal..but if it is only some stains..it is normal.. Adjust Shocks too wont help the problem guys...the sound is quite normal..its not the stand hitting to anything..its from some other part..

With due respect to your views, I did change my break shoe between my first and second service and ya its becoz of my usage, From Gopal Swamy betta I came down in Nuetral(less fuel). Ofcourse I changed the next break shoe at 20K on the odo, before the Northy ride, that too just as a precaution as it is a 6000 km ride.

The part that was getting it on the bump was the centre stand and at times the silencer part too(while turning). It did improve, but ya not completely averted it, it is still fitting when we go with a pillion. And it is one pathetic problem which we couldnt get rid off. Hope at least the 500 EFi doesnt come with this issue

The centre stand does ground, especially on potholes with a pillion aboard.

Setting the shocks to the hardest level does help matters.
