  • A thought that surfaces once you are planning to buy a new bike from a dealership...

I'm planning on buying a new bike. And had been to the dealership a few days ago for a test ride.
Observed that many bikes there had their speedometers disconnected.
That's when doubts arise, whether genuine new bikes are delivered to customers or they might give you a bike which is used for test riding and has received some punishment.
If that's the case..then all the care that we take in riding in the new bike will be of no use...
Please do suggest a way to know if a bike has been ridden hard or a solution so that the buyers don't get cheated...
    Regards...

An element of trust is required.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Leap of faith is necessity when you are keen to explore new boundaries. Many bikes do turn lemon, and if you got one ,then may God save you.

The month and year of manufacturing can be found out before making the purchase. I got my vehicle on 18th march 2011 and the manufactring date was 03/11. Within 18 days the vehicle got manufactured and delivered. If yours is similar, or less than 30 days from date of mfg. You probably have a new one. If a dealer is delivering 100 motorcycles a month, your chances of getting the used one is one in hundred.
