  • Help me to chose the bike

    Dear,
All,right now I am riding a CBR 150r.But last month i came to know that i am suffering with Lumbar spondylosis, and from last few days I cant ride my bike. Whenever I am riding my bike at a stretch of 20kms I feel pain in my waist and shoulder. Now my question is.
    1) Should I continue with the same bike?
    2) If i need to change it then what will be the next choice?
    Condition
    1) On a daily basis I have to ride min 50kms.
    2) Min 150cc is required.
    3) Bajaj is not preperd.
    4) Yearly 3Long ride.

    Thanx in advance.

    Query Approved

None of us should try to play armchair doctors. If you are having such problems, it is best if you first consult your doctor, if you can even ride.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

It's better to move on to a four wheel since you having problem while driving bikes , after you get this problem treated then you can go back .
Did you try ridding other bikes ??
I don't ride a bike to add days to my life .
I ride a bike to add life to my days !

Re: Help me to chose the bike

        Brother,

I feel your pain. I had back issues which I ignored for many years due to lack of awareness and money. I regulary rode a bicycle on long trips on bad roads partly becase I loved riding and it was necessary to ride one for commutes. Later the issue mafnified (I think I have stated my concern about it here in this forum) and I being a stupid guy kept bicycling. Last year I lost sensation on one of my leg and it spread gradually, I went to see a doctor at a government hospital (that's the only thing I could afford) and he prescribed some expensive blood tests which came out normal and gave some expensive vitamin tablets. Those didn't work and now I'm paralysed on a leg I think. I wish I was happy and healthy and had made better choices earlier, but I always make stupid decisions and that makes me unworthy of being alive.

I wanna get better treatment but I lack the money to do so, on top of that my father has heart problem and mother suffers from hip problem which syops me from asking their help. I know it's gonna end miserably for us, I just hope it's a quick one.

I'm sorry about the OT guys, I just felt so sad by your post and typed it. Do not ride bro, give up riding, buy a car with comfort, like the Duster and lead a happy life at Tbhp.

        I'm sorry again.

I really so sorry to hear about your problem n I applaud you for having the courage to discuss your problems on a public platform.
In fact it's these gestures from fellow xbhp members that makes this more of a family than a forum.

I had similar issues with my back in an accident in late 2009, I had a vertebrae almost crushed. But then two wheeler was the best and the fastest mode of transportation in bangalore. I choose honda activa. I have been comfortable every since with the fair share of back issues. Even to this day I believe it's the best decision ever took.

If you think two wheeler is your only option choose a non geared bike....otherwise it's the four wheeler.
