  • Motorcycle falters in neutral/first gear revving

    Hello guys,

For the past two days I have been facing a problem. It started as- I took my bike(RE thunderbird 2014) after almost 16days for a 130/140kms run. Its started after few kick starting with the choke on.(I stay in Arunachal Pradesh, Bhalukpong..and it's raining here). I noticed the throttle was very feeble and the engine was trying to stop. But I revved it and the engine thunders. I felt ok and started my ride. In the SVC I washed my bike & after that again the problem arose. It's like this.
    1. Kick started the engine.
    2. Rev a bit and notice the revving was dying resulting engine stoppage. So had to rev some more in order to keep the engine going.
    3. SVC guys are telling it was happening due to washing.
    4. Then I rode approx. 65kms to office and in the road no problem arose anymore.
    5. After several hours again the problem arose in the bike starting.

What is the problem guys? My RE is only 9months old and 3800+ in the ODO. Is it because I don't ride my bike so often?

    Regards,

    Ritabroto

Engine revving is fine after a ride and revs are low and dies in cold start ..
Either idling is not set correct or carb needs tuning apart from that no problem you have since its 3800+ on odo i dont think plug are faulty ..
