    Yamaha rx 100 engine issues

    Hi guys,
    I got a Yamaha rx100 one year back and from then there is this issue of it losing power wen it reaches 45-60 kmph ... Thou afta 60 it has smooth pick up ... Can anyone help me understand this problem!! #amateuronbikes

        Which model is your Bike? Which piston number are you running? and how often do you get it serviced?

          1995 model ...don't know How to check piston number... Every six months...

            Well you have to contact your mechanic, he will open the head of the engine and let you know. have you done any mods on the Bike? When you saying that its loosing power what exactly do you mean by that? Is it not responding to the accelerator or it goes dead when you try to pull it more than 60kmph

              Though I keep accelerating ... The bike goes hiccups at the speed of 45- 60 ... But after 60 moves smooth with normal power... I just bought the bike last year since I got this I have this prob ...

                For this issue:

                get your carb opened up and then get it cleaned completely
                clean the main jet and the mixture jet
                get the spark plug checked
                also check for Fuel line from the tank and see how the flow is coming to the carb
                also may be the slide of the carb needs some adjustment

                And then update us brother.
