• Pulsar AS200 mud guard replacement with NS200 tire hugger and license plate holder bracket

Hi guys,
Happy to be back on XBHP. I would like to keep things short and sweet. So here we go. I am planning to buy AS200. But didn't like the thing left alone on swing arm buy Bajaj. I mean the NS200 tire hugger bracket. Really cheap engineering. Just want to know has anybody done this kind of modification? Replacing AS200 original conventional mud guard with NS200 tire hugger, tail lamp and license plate holder bracket. Also want to know is it important to have a conventional mud guard on tourer bike? Please guys enlighten me with your expert views.

Would like to make note of one thing. Rear tire hugger is not shown in both NS200 and my edited AS200. I hope you all are aware enough.

Keep it stock mate, the extended mud guard keeps debris from flying up and messing the bikes rear end fiber and not to mention rides riding behind you.

Does anybody have any idea about this? Can it be done? Has anyone tried it or at least thought of it?

Yes this can be 100% done as I have seen a black pulsar AS200 with the same.however he did mention he had to cut a little or do some joggar to put nameplate.however it looked absolutely fab.but I hope I meet that guy once again to know how he did it

Just wanted to know if the ns mud guard actually can't help much?I mean if it's raining does it get to the back of pillon like a bike without mudguard does?

Even I want to know what xplod566 has mentioned. I haven't gone through any reviews of NS200 but is it so? Doesn't it really help during heavy raining? Also a friend of mine told me that Tire hugger fitment is same but for No plate bracket you will have to do some jugaad...so I guess I will wait till Bajaj removes this extra bracket from swing arm and give a clean look to the bike.

In short, yes it does!

There's only that much a good looking fender can do. If you can compromise a bit on the looks, you can have cleaner clothes in the rainy season.

Exactly! The purpose of the fender is to keep the dirty from splashing on the pillion's or in some cases, the rider's cloths.
