I stay in Yakutpura. I have contacted this establishment called Mhawkz Enterprises for getting the repaint done and some other tidbits like HID headlights, horn upgrade. (Know any better place for getting the repaint done?)

Also I was planning to opt for the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) from honda for the activa until its under the extended warranty. Is it beneficial?
You already have extended warranty. so is paying upfront for the amc going to work out cheaper for you ? you do the math and take a decision.
if you are going to mod the bike with fancy lights and exhausts, your warranty will be void. I hope you know that!

isnt AMC supposed to reduce the cost of general service? Like cost of labor charges, oil change and all that?

And thanks for the headsup, re-read the "parts covered" section in the warranty booklet and indeed modifications made to the headlight will void the warranty.

What bike insurance do you use and believe is better?

      Thanx for your reply

i have no idea on the amc or the servicing charges at the asc. stopped visiting the svc since the 4th free service almost 8 years ago. i get all my services done at a local mechanic in yousufguda, my scoot done over 53k km now with not a single breakdown or engine part replacements but just regular services.
the local mech used to charge me Rs.200 8yrs ago, and today it costs 350rs for a full service that includes opening the clutch side and cleaning all the parts, removing wheels cleaning out brake components, re greasing front bushes, carb clean. I buy the oil myself and get it changed at service.
so you need to find out what are the normal costs vs the benefit of the amc and then take a decision.. honda's prices are not cheap and they tend to jack up prices regularly.
i use bajaj allianz, and all insurance almost costs the same for these small vehicles.

Thanks for helping out all along. Getting almost all of my Scooter related questions cleared.

As for Insurance, its better to do the yearly renewal instead of getting the 2 or 3 year policy right?

And I am opting for ICICILombard because most Honda SVCs have cashless claim system in case (god forbid) something bad happens. Because I believe for motorcycles Own Damage insurance is more important than TPL, because lets face it, if a car and a bike were to collide, the OD for the bike will be severely high.

I don't think any insurance company renews insurance for more than a year at a time for vehicles. If you find such a genuine offer then i don't see why you shouldnt opt for it. That's your choice man.

There is a lot of stuff apart from vehicle damage involved in TPL and OD, do read some articles about these stuff:

Bajaj Allianz and ICICILombard now provide 2 and 3 year policies. But the thing is you pay the premium for the complete 3 years and the NCB for the 2nd year does not apply for the 3rd year and the NCB of 1st does not apply for 2nd year(neither is it calculated into the premium while buying the policy)

Basically its a sacrifice for convenience.

I will just go with the annual policy

Thanks for the articles. Interesting read.

NCB- No Claim Bonus (If there are no claim on the policy during the year, you will get some bonus amount when you renew the policy next year.)
