    Help me choosing a silencer for Royal Enfield standard 500 UCE & short bottle reviews

    Hello Friends,

    I am about to finish 9000 kms soon & planning of changing an exhaust of my Royal Enfield Standard 500 UCE. I have seen Short Bottle which is available at service centre (not upswept one that people prefer for Classic series), I like the sound of it & even it is affordable.

    I want to know few quick facts about Short Bottle like whether it is affecting on engien's performance or any degradation in mileage (kmpl) or any other?

    Also by the same time i would like to know which silencer would be good for Standard 500 UCE bike, i like decent sound & not the loud one. By the same time i would like there should not be any affect on my bike's engine & no degradation in mileage kmpl.

    Can you please help me & suggest some good silencers with glass wool? Also please advice if any one is using short bottle from service centre.

      Why no love for UCE's in xbhp? Somebody help a brother in need, please??

      Amish bhai, I have no experience with different exhaust for UCE500, but I remember reading somehere OE short bottle is restrictive. Fellow brothers can confirm.

      I'm also looking for good end can, that is not too loud at high rpms, but with a bit more bass and less restrictive than OE. But there is now so much options for exhausts that it is pretty confusing . Just to list out a few;

      OE upswept, OE short bottle, Indore exhaust, Goldstar, Greasehouse thumper and Megaphone, Red rooster performance (expensive), Globe dolphin, Wildboar, Punjab, Monster

        I Own a TBTS -10 Model, I've fitted it with Golder Star (Conical Baffle) from Sans inc. I feel that the intial pickup has increased ( not sure but may be due to the thump i feel like that or so). The Mileage has decreased by 1-2kms. The Thump is not as bassy as the rest but its decent. There are lot of options right now check them thoroughly & decide .

          Go for the aftermarket short bottle indore silencer thats got "royal enfield" embossed/watermark on it . . . Its the best sound with old school thump at the same time not too loud . . . I like loud tho :P i use an empty shortbottle silman silencer with the broad end pipe :P
