  • Red Rooster Performance KIT for Royal Enfield TB / Classic 350

I am using a RE TB 350 which I bought in April 2014. It's been a great experience all through and I had taken the motorcycle out on few long rides. What I like is the solid planted feel during high speed runs on the highways and the excellent ergonomics of the cruiser. While this is just the machine to go out on the highways I have only one complain and this is about the top end performance. Of course I admit, I was aware of this while I made my purchase and I knew it was never a RE forte and really it won't be fair on my part to complain right now but I am looking at some alternative to compensate to some extent.

You see the acceleration of the bike is okay for me and I really like the way the bike hits 80kmph. However something happens after 80 kmph as if it's hit a wall, the speedo needle climbs incredibly slow between 80kmph & 90 kmph, and that when I am really wringing the throttle. It becomes a painful affair to hold speed beyond 90kmph, and the way the engine vibrates it seems that it's gonna bust it's head spraying the cams & rockers all over the road. So I am compelled to travel below 80kmph and both the bike & the engine behaves impeccably at that speed. I can hold it at 80kmph the whole day and feel nothing about it but all hell break loose the moment I try to get past 80kmph.

Well I guess this is the best I can get of this old pushrod engine but I have seen performance air filter & free flow silencer on internet from Red Rooster racing. The company claims improvement in performance but it never mentioned what is the level of performance enhancement I can expect and has their product been tested by some accredited lab like ARAI. Hence I need to depend on user experience. It's pretty costly staff, the silencer and the air filter together will burn a hole in my pocket for around 15K.

Now I need to know how much difference will this 15K make to my bike and to what cost?

If anybody is using this product on RE 350 Classice / TB requesting to share the experience tp help me with buying decision.

    Topic approved!

The mods planned will not increase the top end, but they'll aid you reaching there faster than you do now.

Total waste of money for an RE on these so called 'performance' products. You will most likely only end up with a louder (may sound sweeter to some ears) bike which IMO is a pain to the ears when doing long rides.
Instead try to get hold of smaller rear sprocket (say smaller by two teeth) or a larger front sprocket (one teeth more). That would be your best bet to gain a little more relaxed ride at higher speeds. This is a reliable mod and totally reversible.
As for the sprockets, I leave it to the RE folks to guide you or do some research on your own to find compatible sprockets.
