    Can i Go for a ride without an RC book

    Hi,
    I have taken delivery of my Bike on 6th Jan 2016, I have the following documents with me
    1)Tax CERTIFICATE
    2) Certificate of registration
    3)RC BOOK Receipt , which has my number plate number.
    4)Insurance
    5)Driving licence
    However i don't have my RC book as the dealer said i would be receiving it in 3 months , he even mentioned i can drive without an RC book for 6 months.

    I am leave in Mumbai and plan to go for my first ride to Alibaug will i be caught or fined if i dont have my RC book.

    If the bike is less than 3 months old and you have all the papers you mentioned above, you can take the bike out without any problems.

      RC Book Receipt is sufficient till you get the original RC Book from the RTO.

        yeah, like mentioned by everyone, RC Receipt is sufficient Alongwith your license and other documents. if you still get pulled over for Documents check, do sound confident about having All the necessary papers and that you are aware that the receipt is sufficient until you get the RC card delivered. they may try to confuse you, if you take the bait, then You Will find emptying your pockets of any spare change
