Unicorn comes with 18 inch wheels. Putting a 17 inch rim will hamper the peformance and handling of your vehicle tremendously. I would advise you against it.

naa man ,,,17" rim should not affect anything unless ur a gp rides or smthing...
you are planning to put a 120..so that should keep the dia same as that of an 18" with 100 tyre..infact a 17" rim would be a few grams lighter than an 18", so that might help and would look better too specially with no side shocks.

If you change the front wheel the odo will start giving you wrong readings.
Why do you want to change the handle now? That will affect the front suspension&again handling too. Unicorn has a really comfy handle IMO.

ya correct..that why i m searching hard for 17"..it will be lighter by weight and moreover inertial mass will less....since it is proportional to square of radius and varies linearly with mass

yes the moment of inertia will decrease with 17" wheels but the speedo & odo will show increased reading for the same speed and the gearing in effect will be shorter.

speedo / odo depends on the front tire/wheel dia, or is it otherwise in unicorn?! :/

What about the repair costs that you would have to bear after messing up? That would surely be more than 120!
Man, I believe that companies provide certain handles, tyres, weight etc.to bikes after exhaustive testing&then decide on which is best. Putting in any aftemarket stuff would definitely hamper the bike's overall performance IMO. After this its your wish!

                            ....
putting a short handle doesnt mean it results in piston comming out from chamber & exploding ,killing u & every body in the vicinity!!
