  • Gixxer Steel Braided Lines

Hi, any proper way to fit steel braided lines in my gixxer front disk only. The bike didn't stopped in time so as not to RAM the brakes and skid in a corner I opt for going down the field. Escaped without a scratch but don't want it to happen again, also my mistake that I entered the corner too fast, forgot thumb rule slow entry fast exit.

Can I fit the pulsar 220 lines, how to know they are direct fit?? Hose measurements or something else?? I just want to improve the braking part, earlier had a pulsar 150 ug IV and it's brakes were fantastic even the rotor being small than the gixxer. Will a different brake pad do the job?
    Open to suggestions.☺

When did you get your service completed?

When did you clean your disc pads.

      Is it raining or no?

        Service completed 15-20 days back.
No it's not raining, and yes today I cleaned the disk pads with sand paper, initial bite increased but still it's spongy and not inspiring . 😞

moving to steel braided lines will improve the bite at times but wont make you stop from skidding.

d200 and p220 both uses steel lines. check your length and connector. if matches make a change.
dont forget to remove the air and bleed it properly.

Normally after cleaning your disk pads it will take some time to set. once after two days it will get corrected or else there is really some issues.

Thanks bro, actually it didn't skid, I was at 70kmph corner entry so couldn't turn the bike properly and if I used the disk or the pathetic drum at that corner it could have skidded so rather than braking I took the bike down the road into a field and I got saved, I must say that gixxer's handling and built quality is way higher than any other bike in that category, I jumped 5-6ft down still the 41mm shocks didn't sweat or bent, just got a scratch mark which I will replace under warranty if the oil seal ever breaks, only issue with fatter radial tyres is that they are useless and mean total useless in roads without tarmac be it a red soil or even light drizzled sandy road, they just tend to skid anyway possible, my next tyre is definitely a dual-purpose Michelin or a cheaper ceat one. 😊
