  • Sudden loss of power

having a strange problem with my enticer. Sometimes the bike losses complete power and shuts down. On my way back today I felt a sudden loss of power and the bike came to a halt. I had plenty of fuel, Engine oil is new. Everything was in level.

I filled up the tank to 10 Lts just to check and still the same problem

Now the confusing part, the bike only losses power and shuts down when the fuel tap is set to main... When I set the tap to reserve nothing happens and everything is fine. No loss of power and it keeps on going as usual.
Could the fuel tap be clogged up?

    thanks for any help

    Query Approved.

The fuel tap/ pipe could be clogged. There are two small, thin pipes attached to the fuel pet-cock. One is for the 'main', while another one is for the 'reserve'. The 'main' pipe seems to be the culprit here. It happened with my Classic 180 too, after which I almost always used to ride it in 'reserve'.

I guess, getting the small 'main' fuel pipe change will solve this problem.
    :)

yeah.. its just the main pipe.. must me clogged.
just get it cleaned. or it could be the problem with the switch that chooses b/w main and reserve then you will have to replace it.

thanks for the quick approval Aryan

Yes turns out the pet cock is faulty. I have a full tank of fuel now so no chance of doing anything.. As soon as I empty the tank I will be sure to replace this tap.
btw the tap im using now is not the original one.. Someone used to always take fuel from the bike so I got a tap with a lock. I think the quality of this isnt that good.
