  • Installing RETB 350 meter console to Bajaj V 1.5

    Hi ,
I am planing to modify the head lights and the meter console of my Bajaj V.
Regarding the headlight, I am getting stock headlights of RETB which can be easily fitted with clamps.
Regarding the change of meter console, Bajaj V have N-1-2-3-4-5 gear, where RETB having 1-N-2-3-4-5 gear pattern, so please suggest me whether it can be fitted or not..

RETB digital meter doesn't have Gear indicator, it just has Neutral indicator as V15 does.

it should be pretty straight forward Modd. but you will face issues in getting correst speed displayed in the Meter

as wheel speed sensors will be diferent,

        to make this modd work,

        1) You will have to fiddle with Wiring- Most Mechanics won't do good Wiring.
        2) Replace wheel speedo cable with sensor from RETB.
        3) you will have to recalibrate the Speed sensor.
Life(health & wealth) is like LED(voltage & current) too much or too less is unacceptable.

What type of meter used in which bike ??
Use DigiHud app to compare gps speed vs meter speed..
Like my speedo shows 80 when I am at 60, 110 when in 80 and 140 when in 100.. the odo also reading 1.5 km for 1 km road..
Got statics , informed mechanic.. let's see..

Do you change or adjust wheel speedo sensor ??

@KD yeah speedo pinion in front wheel..
Can you share bike and meter details.. that will help..

As I have installed RE Classic console into my Bajaj V 15, still I don't change the speedo pinion of front wheel and speedo cable, I am getting higher speedo readings.. As per my mechanic he will install RETB speedo cable and tighten the meter spring.. I am not getting time to get this work done.. will definitely update when the job will be done..
