  • Amaron battery for Hunk

    Hello
I am currently owning Hero honda hunk which is 1 and half years old. The problem is that the battery has gone.
Now i am searching for amaron battery which comes in 5 AH & 9 AH. And the bike manual says it should have 7 AH battery.
The dealer said that they can't fit 9 AH battery because side cover will not lock.

The reason i am going for amaron battery is because they offer 30+30 months warranty (30 months replacement & 30 months pro rata). And other companies like Exide, Amco, SF Sonic all of them offer only 15 months warranty.

What should i do. Please help.

    Is anybody tried amaron Battery.

Hope you are not going just by the website... it may not be updated!

Try and get an Amaron. Its the best... whats more its sealed and also leak proof! If you can't find, consider something like Base Terminal. Exide is the wost!

AFAIK Amaron is available in 2.5aH, 5aH and 9aH only.

But 9aH can be fixed, not a big problem as we fixed 9aH on my friends Unicorn which also has 7aH stock battery and he is very much happy with Amaron as he has converted his headlights to DC with Osram Nightbreaker. No battery drain issues so far. Shortly even i will be putting the same to my Unicorn.

You just have to remove the battery box i.e the fiber box and place the 9aH battery. As its maintainance free battery u don't need the fiber box

as you said, i went to a local mechanic..he told me that you need to adjust the stay, otherwise, the battery will get pressed, even if we remove the fiber box. can u tell me exactly, how did you assembled the 9amp,dry battery in unicorn...

It seems you want people's eyes to conk out along with your battery!

You cannot blame the battery without ruling out any problems in your charging system. Amaron is one of the best in the business currently. If its a battery defect, you can certainly count on the warranty replacement.

my battery is gone for replacement or repairing or vat else....i am posting here only after knowing about my bike battery charging is working perfectly.....i am not against the amaron as had paid 1350 for it whereas excide are still available at 1200 so i think it will be the trouble free battery but it give me problem in the 1st day

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure you will get a replacement. The higher price for Amaron is justified as it has better specs than Exide, is VRLA and has much longer warranty.
