  • Adding Kilometers to Speedometer

I don't know whether it's a silly topic or not. But any help is appreciated as I've not been able to find out the resolution to my query even after spending considerable time and effort.
Just wanted to know whether there is any way to make up for the lost kilometers of any bike. I had changed the speedometer console of my bike (2012 SS125 - analog meter)after 7000 km.s after an accident. Once it was replaced, the km.s started to count from zero again. I've asked a number of mechanics including the ones in Yamaha Factory Outlet(Kolkata) whether there is any way to add those 7K to the present km.s in my speedometer(30K+) only to be replied in negative. The only way I was told was to keep rotating the front wheel after putting the bike in center stand and turning the ignition off. Now imagine doing that for 7000 km.s !
Does anyone know any other way to do that? Or done that in any other way?
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
