Bike engine repair: HELP

one of the worst case scenario can be, that the oil from the engine is getting to the air box through the pipe(i guess we call it a PT set).
open up the air box and see it you see any major amount of the oil in it, if yes, get the engine side opened up, and get that valve replaced, this is however a worst case scenario, the major ones being, that the oil retainer, piston or the valves have worn off,. check and inform accordingly.Last edited by dcs; 04-29-2009, 03:53 PM.Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

after reading other similar threads with pulsar engine seizures, i have came to the conclusion that pulsar engines have a tendency to drink excess oil if you drive it very fast and if u go to hilly areas frequently. Driving too much and regularly over 100+ speeds over long distances then ur pulsar will drink oil like anything ...ignore it and u wil have a siezed engine. in these type of conditions pulsar engine can not outlast 25000 kms, coz thats my odo reading and that of several others in different threads here in xbhp. although my engine is not seized but it desperately needs complete overhaul block piston crank shaft .....will keep u guys updated once i open the engine after around 10 days....

the piston and block only need's to be changed when the bike is used for prolonged periods with worn out piston rings...thise worn out rings not only burn oil.. but also let toxic and corrosive materials form the combustion chamber mix with the engine oil degrading crank/clutch/bearings etc..
better get it fixed asap...

Hi Prince,
Why dont you get your bike diagnosed by Castrol Bike Zone (if not one maybe 2 to get a second opinion)? They're supposed to be quite good and will certainly reduce the down time of having to get ideas off the internet.

piston was fine but long scratch marks on block.....two large ones and one small....dont knowwhy it happened...valves were leaking too...then opened gearbox...two of the gears were damaged with deep marks on them...
actually i used to practise clutchless shifting some time back...may be the gears were damaged because of dat..and the broken pieces damaged the block....may be....or other wise once my oil went dry.....may be d damage was due to dat...there was play in crank too ..rest everything was fine....although it seems there's nothing left to get damaged .....expenses=Rs 10,000/=
