  • Exhaust gas leak from mouth of silencer and engine block.

Hello xbhpians, exhaust gas is leaking from the mouth of silencer where silencer connects to block. there was cracks on silencer pipe, after examining it i found that silencer pipe have two layers inner pipe is solid and outer pipe is made up of thin metal which got cracks.. I guess it is just for protection and not related to any gas leak but still i fixed it by welding and also installed new exhaust gasket. But still some gas is leaking from engine block. Wich is not loud but of it engine is overheating, noisy and also experiencing loss of power. Gasket is new, cracked outer layer of silencer is fixed. What to do to fix gas leak? Any gasket sealer is available for exhaust?

There is a copper washer installed between the exhaust and the cylinder, you can add one more onto it and then install the exhaust. Or you may use a thick one. It would work if exhaust pipe is not at fault.
