Please help me with the issue of HH CD100 SS .
Hi guys, am a newbie here, i have a query about what happened to my HH CD 100 SS (1995 Model) about 6 months ago my bike's rear wheel's support rod broke off while riding , rear break broke off. Fortunately nothing happened to me and bike skid and stopped . I took my bike to home, it have been sitting there idle for 6 months, few days ago i started repairing it. I poured some petrol into tank and tried to kick start it , it didn't start at first after a few kicks i saw petrol leaking through carburator and the connecting place of carburator and engine. Then at the next kick i saw smoke through air filter and exhaust, it was in gray color. After that kicked again a heard a loud bang sound, and saw some liquid leaking through silencer holes, it was a mix of engine oil and petrol. I kicked again and kicker went into a lock and suddenly cylinder head gasket broke , a mix of engine oil and petrol came splashing every where, i removed spark plug and saw the chamber full of that liquid, now my question is : could the Valve and piston be damaged due to this hydrolock kind of situation? And i bought the gasket, can i change it myself ? Is the timing chain to be removed to change that steel kind gasket between engine's black color part and silver color part? Please help me guys, -

Looks like carburetor overflow due to float pin didnt stop the flow of petrol which further moved in engine due to partialy opened inlet valve.now engine block is flooded with petrol it washed off all the carbon from wall and piston ring made a space to get oil into the chamber which further went to silencer and when inlet and exhaust valve started to close properly, compression developed in engine flooded chamber and it exploded... Show it to good mechanic. Maybe valve oil seal, piston rings need to change also service the carburetor.Big Power Comes With Big Responsibility

Re: Please help me with the issue of HH CD100 SS .
thanx for the reply bro,i've been waiting for a reply, and for added info : the mixture that came out of the chamber was most of petrol, because i used Castrol 20w40 in my bike , it was old engine oil, already thick black in color, and the mixture evaporated away as soon as it fell on floor leaving black dust, if it was more oil it wouldn't have evaporated completely, is there be any problem with piston ring? Cos,there was very little oil in it, the piston ring has to be changed? Could it be damaged due to entering of high amount of petrol in Engine? Could there be any other damage inside the engine, i think the blocking of carb and this can happen to any bike , right? My bike's gasket was old (its 21 years old ! ) so it gave way without doing much to engine, i wonder what would happen if the gasket didn't break? Am very tesned now , please forgive me if am disturbing you with these aweful lot of questionsOriginally posted by Darchorse View PostLooks like carburetor overflow due to float pin didnt stop the flow of petrol which further moved in engine due to partialy opened inlet valve.now engine block is flooded with petrol it washed off all the carbon from wall and piston ring made a space to get oil into the chamber which further went to silencer and when inlet and exhaust valve started to close properly, compression developed in engine flooded chamber and it exploded... Fix your carb first. For engine work Dont do it yourself if u dont have experience. No one can predict which parts have to change without examining it in real. So show your bike to experienced person.Big Power Comes With Big Responsibility
