  • Help needed on my cbz 2001

Hi all, I don't have much knowledge about bikes in detail. I loved the way CBZ looks and I don't find any new bikes sexy. I got a used cbz and faced lot of issues. Bike didn't have good pickup, like it will struggle to go beyond 70. Over heating and vibration.
Finally I got a local Mechanic and we placed karizma clutch plate( I suggested this to Mechanic based on reviews read from XBHp) , and new pistons. I did not change the crankshaft as the Mechanic said it was good. Bike is still in Mechanic shop.
I need help with alloy wheels and headlights. Also is it better to use imported engine oils, so that I can avoid heating issue.

Please help me with this guys.

You should be more specific about what you want to know!

Nobody can answer your query if your questions are vague!

Approving it since this is your first post on xBhp.

If I'm not wrong, the Karizma that is sold today is still based on the age-old chassis that was first designed and launched during the Cricket WC'01 (First edition of CBZ).
So it should be safe to retrofit its alloys onto your CBZ.

A couple of things I'd done myself on my CBZ (2004 model) - I put the then Pulsar's headlamps and gas shocks. Headlamps were great, suspension didn't improve dramatically. Having said that, the Pulsar of that time had AC system whereas today's are DC.
