Need help with my kawasaki boxer
My boxer has been having a lot of complaints lately and the never seem to cease. I've been having these stalling issues with my bike for over 6 months and I did almost everything from changing my little rusted petrol tank to cleaning the carb, all done by a mechanic. It's just irritating me more and more and now after just 2 days of getting my bike out of the workshop... There it is, the stalling issue again. Please help me fellow xbhpians!!Tags: None

Re: Need help with my kawasaki boxer
Thanks monk! It all started long back when the inside of my tank was a bit rusted (just the walls). I immediately changed the tank on the mechanic's advice but the problem never went away completely. It runs smooth for a few weeks and then it's back to zero. Basically, while running, it's like the engine suddenly loses power but I can still hear the deceleration sound from the engine. There's dirt somewhere in the bike cause it usually starts after a massive explosion from the exhaust 😂 but then it is persistent. Last time that happened, I started kicking my bike furiously and when it came alive, I started revving it on top Rpm for small intervals. After each deceleration, there was this real loud bursting thingy.. 😅

The explosion from the exhaust is backfiring. The combustion is not completing due to rich condition, causing the petrol to burst in the silencer.Originally posted by Nairettan View PostThanks monk! Tune your carburetor, change air filter also, to avoid running rich. Replace spark plugs as well with correct specs given in manual--------------------------------------------------------------

yes one reason for exhaust popOriginally posted by Nairettan View PostRich is more fuel, less air, right?
please replace with original if not done for many years.. it should be like sponge or paperOriginally posted by Nairettan View PostAbout the air filter part... My air filter actually looks quite weird 😅. I've seen the ones that have a air filter cap and stuff... Mine is just a wire mesh or something of similar sort.--------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Need help with my kawasaki boxer
Today the kicker broke and I had to jump start the bike around 5 times on my way home from college... Is this a good time to ditch the bike😒. The issue is that it was my dad's and there's a certain emotion attached to it. Every time I look at it, it's like he's calling me out for a ride.. Best part is that I can do that too... It's easy on my pocket. But again, there's a desire for a bull(I'm a bull guy! 😅) but maintaining both is gonna burn a hole in my pocket. Open to suggestions!!
