my CBZ Xtreme bike is exhausting combination of white and black smoke

    my CBZ Xtreme bike is exhausting combination of white and black smoke

    Hi XBHP,

    I am in love with my HH CBZ Xtreme, But recently after driving 40,000 kms, It started exhausting white smoke at the starting. But when I touch inside the exhaust pipe it is in black color smoke. Each mechanic is explaining it in different manner. So, I went to the Hero showroom in my place. They said that valves has worn so need to change that. I remember that they have changed that before 8 months. Outside mechanic said that my bike need to bore. Dont know what to follow.

    But when mechanic checks the engine oil level, It is dropped below least. Please suggest me who can take care of my CBZ and resolve it. Also please suggest any mechanic who can deal with this type of problems in CHANDANAGAR, Hydearabad or else in Hyderabad.

      Hi sreetheja,

      Sometimes ago i was also facing the same issue with my yamaha fzs and the reason was that there is a oilsheet which prevents engine oil to let in the combustion zone got broken and due to which the mobil was being sucked into combustion zone and white smoke was coming from exhaust. Yamaha service center replaced piston and ring. Now its working fine. Better you go for some other HH service center and get it fixed there only.

        Hi Sreetheja, i have recently moved to lingampally from Pune an year ago. but i am yet to find any reliable mechanic in this entire vicinity. I would recommend HH Service centre only. If you are in doubt, take it to diff Serv Ctrs and ask them their opinion.
        Also ask them what was the reason why valves worn out within 8 months (btw how many kms did you ride with new valves in these 8months?)
        Slim chance, check with ASC if any replaced part, or any breakfix comes with any sort of warranty.

        Very basically speaking, smoke along with reducing oil levels, are an indication of oil entering combustion chamber. the colour of smoke, white or black will only vary with the mount of air in the AF mixture at that time.
