  • Royal Enfield STD 350 CI carb update.

    Hey Guys,

Logging in after a long time.
I own a RE STD 350 CI(1980 make). She is running fine perfectly no issues whatsoever.
I have a query can i replace the carb on my current CI with the one from the new STD 350 UCE carb?
Current CI carb is Mikuni VM24.
    Can i do it?
If i do it will there be any issues?
What would be the price STD 350 UCE carb and what model it is?

I have seen post where people have used P220 carb on their bullets.

Kindly let me know your thoughts about the same.

    Regard,
    hawx

Brother, why do you want to change your carburetor when you say your bull is running fine with no issues at all. There is a simple motto to adopt with these old iron horses, If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The answer is simple bro just want to experiment. From what little I understand since a mechanical carb is going to perform same function irrespective of make and model(apart from jets that it employs.). I want to see if it makes any difference if i go with the new UCE 350 model. Difference in terms of performance, mileage, smoothness and other factor. Not necessarily that I may get all those things. Chances are it might stay the same as earlier or make it worse in which case I may revert back to Mikuni.

Also what make and model does the new UCE STD 350 uses?
