  • Poor pickup at low speeds

Hello guys, I bought a second hand Continental Gt, has done about 11000 odd Kms. The problem is that the bike lacks the pick up at low speeds, feels as if there is no low end torque, almost as if powerless.
However on the highway and high speeds its ok.
I test drove another Continental Gt in the showroom and the low end pickup is fantastic as compared to my bike. I recently serviced the bike, new air filter, etc, tyre pressure is good.Bike is in stock condition

Appreciate all your inputs and thanks in advance.

      hello Matthew,

being an ex-continental GT owner i can feel your problem, i had face such issues in past as well. i would recommend you to follow the below points:
      1. check chain slackness.(loose chain can affect your power delivery significantly) stick to the recommended slack in the owner manual.
      2. check tread on the tire, putting some fresh rubber will definitely improve the feel of your bike.
      3. throw in some brand new sparkplugs.
      4. change engine oil if you havent in the past service. i would recommend motul 5100 4T hybrid. do not use the oil the service center offers.
      5. lube the throttle cable, brake lever and pedal. cluth lever and gear shifter pivot thoroughly.

let me know if it helps. :P

      thanks.
