  • Disk Brake oil drained !

    Hai xBhpians,

Today I faced a strange experience while coming down on hills. I was coming behind the two cars, first car driver saw the pathhole and pressed the brake very hard just few metre ahead, and the second car driver too hard breaked, behind is me did the same but linear and then hard when I'm very closer to the car.

Now what happened is disk brake oil completely drained through rubber bush near the brake lever. Unfortunately I didn't strike on the car ! But oil drained !

Kindly help me on this problem?
And how to resolve by DIY?

I don't think there is diy for this u can visit service center and ask for break assembly change.. and i would not suggest a repair because front brak is the only break which provides 80% of stopping power.

        Hai

The master piston has given way. You will have to replace the piston. For DIY please check my thread - https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-your...erhauling.html.

P.S - This is an expert level DIY. If your inexperienced in DIY procedures please take it to the Mechanic or SVC.

        Cheers

Timing helps me bro . . . Thank God no vehicle behind me as well as opposite to me(right lane). Because once disk brake fails , rear brake doesn't helps lot so to avoid hitting him I turned towards right side ! On left side deep valley .

I used 80% rear brake on that day [emoji13] ,20 engine braking on that day bro while riding down the hill.
I went to SVC , they asked to change the kit that cost 200Rs. Hence changed !

No problem Bro. This DIY is an expert level, so I would not recommend to starters. My DIY helps people to know their bike better than just start and drive them. I love to explore my bikes. Moreover, You will know which part is to be changed and the SVC don't cheat you by changing some other parts which are not required.

                    Cheers

I too like to explore bikes , but my father won't allow me ! Still I use to change some parts that I practiced by remove . Refit . Check process when my father went to office. But I never touch the sensitive parts in bike unless I get clear idea from experts . . .
