Tips on lowering seat height?

    Tips on lowering seat height?

    I'm 5'7 and while I have no trouble riding motorcycles with seats as high as 810mm, I would very much prefer to be able to put both feet firmly on the ground
    - - -
    I'm getting an Apache 200 soon (800mm seat) and I can put down the tips of both my feet, but I'd like to be able to flatfoot it

    Anyone have experience with lowering seat heights?
    I thought about shaving the seat, but are there any "proper" ways of doing it, like shortening the suspension?

      I guess you shouldn't have any trouble putting both your feet flat on the ground in RTR 200. I am also 5'7.5 and I also own a RTR 200 , I can assure even a 5'6 can do it with ease, but if you still insist you can try to adjust the Rear shock setting of the bike, may be the showroom guys can adjust for you while delivering the bike. Shaving the seat will compromise on your comfort and your bottom will badly hurt, as the rider seat foam is not so cushiony and any further reduction on the cushion foam is a bad idea in my regards.
      I assume you already had a test ride of the bike, if not please try it now, you'll definitely acknowledge what I said.

        Just did a test ride, I can only put half of my foot down, maybe you're a little more than 5'7? Or you have longer legs, cause I just can't put both feet down firmly
