  • Help needed with my Himalayan

Hi all, I need some assistance with the following -

    1. I down-jetted the 125 jets to 110 and then had the carb tuned however since then have been facing the issue of a drag in the pickup for a couple of secs. I wold like to mention that the top end of the bike seems to have gone up and the bike takes off once its past this lull phase which is around 3500 rpm. With the 125 jet the machine used to just take off however now the machine holds back and I need to twist the throttle to really make it even for a linear pickup. I am more of a sedate rider where touching 90-100 is more than enough for me on the open roads. I never go full throttle which is now pinching me since I am inadvertently having to do so to keep the bike going.

    2. Also, the idling of my bike is not constant and keeps varying by about 100-200 rpms.

I am thinking of switching back to stock 125 jets and tune at 1.5-1.75 as advised by the service guy. Inputs and advice solicited.

    Thanks guys in advance

But if I spin and begin to slide
I pray, dear God please protect my ride
And if I lay down my bike today
I pray to God I walk away...
I walk away to ride another day
