  • Grinding noise from Clutch bell- Suzuki fiero

    Hello folks,

I own a Suzuki fiero and got the engine restored recently. Everything went well and the feel of the bike was awesome. However, once the engine got restored, a grinding noise began occurring and the mechanic told me it was from the clutch bell. So I decided to change it and with great difficulty, managed to get a new one with a primary gear as the spares are not easily available. But to my utter disappointment, the noise did not stop there and kept recurring. We did a recheck of the whole engine again and replaced the bore with a new one but again, it did not work. Now, I am totally clueless as to where the miss is as the grinding noise is very annoying when the bike is in neutral position. One more thing, the noise fades away when the first gear is applied & before fixing the new clutch bell, I've tried a few bells dismantled from other Fiero engines in good condition but nothing happened. Can somebody please tell me how to get this fixed? I've lost hope and need help desperately.

    Thanks in advance.

i would recommend you try adjusting the clutch and clutch cable as per the slack mentioned in owner manual see if that makes any difference in the noise. also please advise me, if you press the clutch in neutral (idling) does the noise stop?

Check if there is play between clutch bell and the big gear behind it.

            tez_padhye Thanks for you reply
I have just replaced the clutch bell and there is no play at all
its just a brand new bell which i have got from Yamaha’s service centre
so apart from this what could be the exact issue?
