    Query Approved

If your bike isn't attaining the same speed at the same RPM, with the same gearing and tyre size, then you clutch is worn. Also acceleration will reduce. Going up a short steep slope will be substantially more difficult with a worn clutch.

There is no set number of kilometres for the clutch to wear out. Depends on riding style of each individual rider.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Clutch plates have a life span variable from 5k (or even less) to somewhere between 30-35k kms. Depending on your riding style.
Every bike's stock plates can run for over 20k kms if you ride the bike properly.
But it will worn out as early as 5k kms. Also.
I purchased a zmr which has only 7500kms on odo but badly worn out clutch. I replaced them with generic brand (makino) plates. And now bike is running 16k odo still my clutch is awesome.
So it totally depends on how you drive...
Few signs of worn out plates are:
      1. High RPM but not respective speed and pickup.
      2. Lot of heat on clutch plate bowl side.
      3. Bike will never touch its top speed after worn out clutchs.
      4. Problem while taking slope or while double pillion (tripling) as clutch starts to slip more.

Ultimately your bike can't transfer full power generated by engine to the drivetrain or rear wheel if plates are worn out.
As clutch is connecting link for supplying power from engine to rear wheel.
