  • Windtone Horns and Challan

Are Windtone horns (skoda car type or Volkswagen car type) horns banned on 2 wheelers ?? I already read the law book and it states banning of multi-tone or pressure horns. Can someone or somebody guide me on this with some reference ?

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

I don't know the type of noise windtone horns make, but multitone dual horns are factory fitted to all the bikes upwards of 150 cc. The pulsar 150,180,220 comes with dual horns, which are as loud as that of a car, and they are perfectly legal.

Pressure horns are banned in all vehicles, be it a truck or bus or a bike.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

That is the issue, I googled and found multi tone and pressure horn thing. But didn't find anything against windtones. Very confusing.

To be honest, the factory fit multitone horns on the bike are more than enough loud on any highway even on triple digit speeds. I never felt any need to get a louder one than I already have. Better stick with the approved norms and use the horns from a pulsar. It will save you a lot of trouble with the police and you will make less noise pollution.
